Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. All merging happens in your browser using pdf-lib. Your files never leave your device.
Is there a limit on the number of files?
There is no hard limit. You can merge as many PDFs as your browser's memory allows — typically dozens of files totalling several hundred megabytes.
Will the merged PDF preserve bookmarks and links?
Page content, annotations, and form fields are preserved. Bookmarks and cross-document links may not carry over.
Does merging reduce the quality of my PDFs?
No. The pages are copied byte-for-byte into the new document. There is zero quality loss.
Can I rearrange the page order?
Yes. Use the up and down buttons next to each file to change the order before merging. The final PDF will follow your chosen sequence.
What is the maximum file size?
Each individual file can be up to 50 MB. The total combined size depends on your device's available memory.
