Frequently asked questions

What is an Open Graph image?
An Open Graph image is the image shown when your page is shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other platforms. The recommended size is 1200×630 pixels (1.91:1 ratio). Images smaller than 600×315 may not display as large cards.
How long should my meta title be?
Google typically displays 50–60 characters of a page title. Titles longer than 60 characters may be truncated with an ellipsis. However, Google may rewrite titles it deems too short, keyword-stuffed, or misleading.
How long should my meta description be?
Aim for 120–160 characters. Google may truncate descriptions longer than 160 characters. A well-crafted description improves click-through rates even though it does not directly affect rankings.
What is the difference between og:title and the page title?
The page title (in the title tag) is what Google shows in search results. The og:title is used by social platforms when your link is shared. They can differ — for example, your og:title might be more conversational or shorter for social contexts.
Do Twitter meta tags affect Google rankings?
No. Twitter card tags only control how content appears when shared on Twitter. They have no effect on Google rankings.
What twitter:card type should I use?
Use summary_large_image for posts with a prominent image — shows a large banner image above the text. Use summary for a small square thumbnail alongside text. Most content benefits from summary_large_image.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. All previews and tag generation happen locally in your browser. Your titles, descriptions, and image URLs are never transmitted to any server.
How do I add the generated tags to my site?
Paste the copied HTML block inside the head section of your page. In WordPress, use an SEO plugin like Yoast or RankMath. In Next.js, use the Metadata API. In Astro, add to your BaseLayout head slot.
Does Google always show my meta description?
No. Google may override your meta description with a snippet it dynamically generates from your page content if it judges that to be a better match for the user's query.

Publishing without checking your meta tags is like printing a flyer without

proofreading it. This tool shows exactly how your page will look in Google

search results and across every major social platform before you hit publish.

Enter your page title, meta description, canonical URL, Open Graph image URL,

Twitter handle, and site name. Four live previews update in real time: a Google

SERP snippet showing how your result appears in search, a Facebook/LinkedIn open

graph card, a Twitter summary_large_image card, and a LinkedIn post card.

Character-count guides highlight when your title and description are within the

optimal ranges for Google (50–60 chars for title, 120–160 for description).

Once you are happy with the previews, click Copy Tags to get a complete, ready-

to-paste HTML block containing all necessary meta tags: title, description,

canonical, og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url, og:type, og:site_name,

twitter:card, twitter:title, twitter:description, twitter:image, and twitter:site.

Who is this for? SEO specialists optimizing page metadata, content marketers

preparing social shares, web developers implementing Open Graph, and bloggers

improving click-through rates from search.
