How to use PDF to PNG

  1. Upload your PDF

Click the upload area or drag and drop a PDF file. The tool reads the document locally — nothing is sent to a server.

  2. Choose a resolution

Pick Standard (108 DPI) for web use, High (144 DPI) for presentations, or Maximum (216 DPI) for print-quality output.

  3. Select pages (optional)

By default all pages are converted. Use the custom range option to convert only specific pages, e.g. 1-3 or 5.

  4. Convert and download

Click Convert to PNG. Each page becomes a numbered PNG file. Download them individually or click Download All as ZIP for the full set.

PDF to PNG FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The entire conversion runs in your browser using PDF.js and the Canvas API. Your file never leaves your device.

Why PNG instead of JPG?

PNG is a lossless format — it preserves every pixel without compression artifacts. This makes it ideal for text-heavy documents, diagrams, charts, and any content where sharpness matters. JPG is smaller but introduces visible artifacts.

Is there a page limit?

There is no hard page limit. The tool processes as many pages as your browser's memory allows — typically hundreds of pages without issues.

What resolution should I choose?

Standard (108 DPI) is fine for screen viewing and web use. High (144 DPI) suits presentations and slides. Maximum (216 DPI) is best for high-quality print output or archiving.

Can I convert only specific pages?

Yes. Use the custom page range option and enter page numbers or ranges separated by commas, for example 1-3, 5, 7-10.

Do PNGs support transparent backgrounds?

The pages are rendered with a white background by default. PDF pages do not inherently have transparency — the white you see is the rendered page content.

How do I download all pages at once?

When converting a multi-page PDF, a Download All as ZIP button appears alongside the individual page download buttons.

Does the output have watermarks?

No. The tool is completely free and produces clean PNG files with no watermarks, branding, or added pages.
