Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. All splitting happens in your browser using pdf-lib. Your files never leave your device.
Does splitting reduce PDF quality?
No. Pages are copied byte-for-byte from the original. There is zero quality loss.
Can I extract specific page ranges?
Yes. Use the Custom Ranges mode and enter ranges like '1-3, 5, 8-12'. Each range becomes a separate PDF file.
How do I download all split files at once?
When splitting produces multiple files, a Download All as ZIP button appears so you can grab everything in one click.
Is there a page limit?
There is no hard limit. Large PDFs with hundreds of pages will work, though processing time depends on your device.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Only if the PDF allows content copying. Fully encrypted PDFs that require a password to open cannot be processed in the browser.
