Frequently asked questions

How does this work?
It uses Unicode Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols and other Unicode blocks to map regular Latin letters to visually different characters. These are real Unicode characters, not images or special fonts — they work anywhere text is accepted.
Will these characters work on all platforms?
Most platforms support Unicode well — including Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, Discord, TikTok, YouTube, and WhatsApp. Some platforms may render certain styles differently depending on the device's font support.
Why don't some characters transform?
Unicode mathematical symbol blocks only define mappings for A-Z, a-z, and sometimes 0-9. Punctuation, emoji, and characters from other scripts (Chinese, Arabic, etc.) pass through unchanged.
Is this a font?
No. These are different Unicode characters that happen to look like styled versions of Latin letters. No font is installed or needed — the characters are part of the Unicode standard and render in the device's default font.
Are these characters accessible?
Screen readers may not read Unicode mathematical symbols correctly — they may spell out each character's technical name instead of the intended text. For accessibility-sensitive contexts, use regular text with platform formatting instead.
Why does my text look different on my phone vs computer?
Different devices and operating systems use different fonts to render Unicode characters. The style may look slightly different across platforms, but the characters are the same.
