Frequently asked questions

What image formats can I upload?
You can upload JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF files up to 50 MB. The tool processes the first frame of animated GIFs.
What is the difference between Fit and Cover modes?
Fit scales your image to fit entirely within the target canvas, adding letterbox bars in your chosen background colour if the aspect ratio differs. Cover scales and crops your image to fill the entire canvas with no empty space — some edges may be cropped.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All resizing happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device.
Can I download all sizes at once?
Yes. After generating, click Download All as ZIP to get every selected size in a single archive, named by platform and dimensions.
What output format will my images be saved as?
You choose: JPG (smaller, best for photos), PNG (preserves transparency), or WebP (best size-to-quality ratio). PNG is recommended if your image has a transparent background.
What are the correct Instagram image sizes?
Instagram supports: Square (1080×1080, 1:1), Portrait (1080×1350, 4:5), and Landscape (1080×566, 1.91:1). The 4:5 portrait format typically gets more feed space. Stories and Reels use 1080×1920 (9:16).
What is the recommended YouTube thumbnail size?
1280×720 pixels (16:9 aspect ratio) with a file size under 2 MB. YouTube recommends JPG, GIF, or PNG format.
Does it support 2026 social media dimension updates?
Yes. Platform dimensions are kept current with each major update. LinkedIn, Meta, and X/Twitter occasionally adjust recommended sizes — this tool reflects the latest specifications.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The tool is fully responsive and works on modern mobile browsers. Image upload is supported via the native file picker or drag and drop on supported browsers.

Stop manually resizing the same image for every platform. Upload once and generate

every social media size you need in seconds — all correct dimensions, all in one

ZIP file.

Platform presets cover every major format: Instagram Square (1080×1080), Instagram

Portrait (1080×1350), Facebook Cover (820×312), Facebook Post (1200×630), Twitter/X

Header (1500×500), Twitter/X Post (1200×675), YouTube Thumbnail (1280×720), YouTube

Channel Art (2560×1440), LinkedIn Cover (1584×396), LinkedIn Post (1200×627),

TikTok Profile (200×200), and Pinterest Pin (1000×1500).

Three resize modes give you control over how your image fills each canvas: Fit

(letterbox with custom background colour — no cropping), Cover (crop-fill to fill

the entire canvas — no empty space), or Stretch (fill without maintaining aspect

ratio — not recommended for most images). Download individual sizes or all selected

sizes as a ZIP archive.

All processing runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are

never uploaded to any server — essential when working with client images, brand

assets, or confidential photography.

Competitors like Canva and Sprout Social require accounts and upload your images

to their servers. Kordu processes everything locally with no signup.
