SVG to JPG Converter FAQ

What happens to transparent areas in the SVG?

JPG does not support transparency. All transparent areas in the SVG are filled with a white background. If you need transparency preserved, convert to PNG instead.

What resolution should I use?

For web use: 1024–2048px width. For social media: match the platform's recommended dimensions (e.g. 1200×630 for OpenGraph). For print at 300 DPI: multiply your print size in inches by 300 (e.g. 4 inches = 1200px).

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. The SVG is rendered locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Your files never leave your device.

Why would I convert SVG to JPG?

Some platforms (social media, email clients, CMS systems) don't support SVG uploads. Converting to JPG makes your vector graphic compatible with any platform.

Can I convert back to SVG from JPG?

Not directly. Converting raster to vector requires bitmap tracing, which is a different process. Use our PNG to SVG Trace tool for that.

Can I batch convert multiple SVG files?

Yes. Drop multiple SVG files and download all converted JPGs in a single batch.

Will the output be as sharp as the original SVG?

Yes — SVG is resolution-independent, so you can rasterize at any size with perfect sharpness. Set a high pixel dimension for crisp output.

What quality setting should I use?

92% is the recommended default. Use 95%+ for print materials. Use 80–85% for web thumbnails and social media where file size matters.

Can I use this on mobile?

Yes. The tool works in any modern mobile browser on iPhone and Android.

Does it handle complex SVGs with gradients and effects?

The SVG is rendered natively by your browser, so it handles everything the browser's SVG renderer supports — gradients, masks, filters, and embedded fonts.

Background

Convert SVG vector graphics to JPG raster images directly in your browser — no upload, no signup, no software installation required. Set custom width and height to rasterize the SVG at exactly the resolution you need, from small social media thumbnails to large print-ready images.

Because SVG is scalable, you can output JPG at any resolution without quality loss from the source. Use the quality slider to control JPG compression: 92% provides excellent output for most uses. Transparent areas in the SVG are filled with a white background since JPG does not support transparency.

Batch conversion is supported — convert multiple SVG files to JPG at once. All processing runs client-side by rendering the SVG to a canvas element; your files never leave your device. Perfect for creating platform-compatible versions of logos, icons, and illustrations for social media, email, and print workflows.
